Finding Faces
As part of Children’s Mental Health Week, children in years 1 and 2 took time to slow down and notice the world around them. Faces come in all shapes and sizes, and the children were incredibly good at recognising them. They explored their ability to find faces in everyday objects. They learned why we see faces in inanimate objects and about what features are most important in recognising a face. They made some of their own faces using mindfulness activities such as the scribble game and origami.
They came up with some very imaginative work.
