A Busy Science Week
Years 1 and 2 began their Science Week by watching a live show about fantastic minibeasts and where to find them.
They learned all about minibeasts, their habitats and the important jobs they do for British farming. Sally-Anne, an insect expert, introduced the children to four different types of helpful minibeasts who all do essential jobs for British farmers. They then went off to find some worms in the school mud kitchen and brought them into class for a closer look. They learned that the worms help the farmer by making tunnels which allow air and water move through the soil.
